Kuch Khaas - The Centre for Arts, Culture and Dialogue Islamabad
A community space for discourse, learning, meaningful entertainment and participation in Islamabad. Kuch Khaas is fast gaining popularity and recognition in the capital city for being a community space for meaningful dialogue and creative expression. A not-for-profit social enterprise, it advocates the pursuit of knowledge and civic engagement to slowly bring about lasting social change in Pakistan
. Kuch Khaas is hosting a cafe, a library and a media center. Privately funded and working with personal donations, Kuch Khaas has minimal charges for students who can afford the classes, while lesser privileged people can benefit from the group for free.
Community space for dialogue, cultural activities, advocacy and learning
Library – chosen fiction, and non-fiction, children’s books, books for youth, music and videos.
Cafe – delicious homemade food and beverages served in informal but aesthetic surroundings where you are encouraged to hang-out, talk, listen to music and read.
Space available for holding music, dance and skills training courses and workshops.
Outdoor stage for public performances of drama, music and other performing arts.
Space and facilities available for screening of films.
Art Studio where various classes are held .
Brick kiln for ceramics and pottery.
Computer Lab equipped with Apple iMacs for use of members.
